Moms want quick, easy meals during Holiday season

Chief household shoppers are of two minds during the holiday season. They certainly think about the big gatherings, but they also need to be as expedient as possible in meeting their family food needs every other day of the Holidays.
Stores that capitalize on insights from ConAgra Foods Shopper Seasons research have a better chance of capturing Moms' trips for the big festivities as well as for the quick, simple, convenient meals they focus on daily. To save time, energy and money, Moms consolidate. Everyday meals can become simpler and less expensive: main meals may be potluck or include less costly meats, fewer choices or extras, and less baking or communal baking occurs. Ideas that help Moms multitask have particular appeal.
Retailer ideas that facilitate female bonding (cookie exchanges) and multi-generational connections (grandmas and kids cooking together) can resonate and be especially productive. Also, through messaging and merchandising, encourage her to try some new personal signature dishes for the Holiday meal. Finally, for some larger stores build performance with a multi-branded, multi-category Holiday Barge display of many holiday foods in one solution center.
